alessandra galasso (b. 2002) is a filipino-italian multimedia designer based in san francisco, california. she received a BA in Design from the University of California, Davis and is currently pursuing an MFA in Industrial Design at California College of the Arts.
influenced by the landscapes of northern california, her practice is rooted in domestic objects, craft, and natural forms - exploring how objects can hold memory, meaning, and connection. in working with natural materials, she approaches making as a dialogue between maker and material, recognizing each material's agency to reveal both its possibilities and its limits. her work views craft as an adaptive and evolving practice that blends traditional techniques with modern technologies. through material exploration and handmade processes, she creates objects that encourage slower, more intentional relationships between people and the things they live with.
